Frequently Asked Questions

What is conversational AI

Conversational AI refers to technologies that enable computers to understand, process, and respond to human language in a natural and meaningful way. The primary objective of conversational AI is to create a more intuitive and human-like interaction between machines and humans.

By using machine learning, natural language processing, and other advanced technologies, conversational AI can understand user queries, provide relevant answers, and even anticipate user needs.

What is a large language model (LLM)?

A large language model (LLM) is a type of artificial intelligence model designed to understand and generate human-like text based on the patterns it has learned from vast amounts of data. These models, which can contain billions or even trillions of parameters, are trained on diverse internet text to recognize linguistic structures, meanings, facts, and even some reasoning abilities. Once trained, they can answer questions, write essays, generate creative content, assist in coding, and perform many other language-based tasks.

What is Archie AI?

Archie AI is an AI technology specifically designed for digital publishers. It leverages the power of AI to transform static user experiences into dynamic and engaging sessions. By implementing Archie AI, publishers can interact with their audience in a more personalized and interactive manner, using conversational AI to guide, assist, and engage users throughout their digital journey.

How does Archie work?

Once the AI model snippet is placed on a piece of content, an anchor button becomes visible to users. If a visitor chooses not to click this button, their browsing experience remains unchanged. However, if they click on it, an AI modal opens, revealing an ad environment and reading pane.

The reading pane is populated with a summary of the article and search bar allowing for visitors to ask questions and engage with the article’s content. The visitor can then exit the modal by clicking through on the advertiser’s ad or exiting to the original article.

How does Archie answer a vistior's questions

Archie uses a Large Language Model (LLM) to answer user queries. When a question is posed, our LLM analyzes the context of the associated article and provides a response based on its content. This ensures the answer is tailored to the information within the article, giving users a more in-depth understanding and a personalized interaction with the content.

What if a visitor's questions cannot be answered within the article?

If our LLM cannot deduce an answer directly from the article's content, the reader will receive a notification stating that the desired information isn't available in the article. However, our LLM will still provide its best possible answer based on its vast training data. This ensures that users are consistently engaged and receive value from their interaction, even if the specific article doesn't contain the exact answer.

How many questions can a visitor ask?

A user can ask an unlimited number of questions. This facilitates longer and more engaging sessions, which benefits advertisers since their ad remains consistently in view during the interaction
